That is a fitting name for this post, as the winds outside our house right now are blowing at speeds that have been clocked at 85 mph, which is technically hurricane-force. The wind truly sounds like a freight train. I have never experienced such a ferocious wind storm, and we get them every year around this time. Oy. If you've checked the news, you've heard about the Malibu fire, but seriously, when doesn't Malibu burn? Every frickin year they have a fire, it just goes with the territory of being remote and having heavy brush, combined with no irrigation and a canyon. It's just a volatile mix. Meanwhile, in the very canyon in which my house is located (the Fremont Canyon) we are in the thick of those winds clocked at hurricane speed, and it is just crazy, people. There are trees being uprooted everywhere, as well as something that just hit my roof. I'm not kidding. We have seen at least two transformers blow out, kind of pretty, actually that huge blue glow ...

All new appliances were delivered last Saturday ALL BRAND SPANKING NEW ... the REPLACEMENT fridge was delivered yesterday 'cuz the new one didn't work. How do I know that? The next morning all my ice cream was melted, everything thawed and my house was colder than inside the refrigerator.
Now the best part, it was a model changeover time and everything I picked out to MATCH ... isn't available anymore so the new fridge doesn't match the dishwasher, stove& microwave. The new look is so NEW, they aren't available yet, so now I have to wait ... a month. They did leave the range and dishwasher for me to use until then.
Sorry you asked? LOL
Sorry about your undies and all...
last appliance replaced... my gas range
Last appliance I had to replace was the microwave. And I really had to deliberate: do I NEED a microwave, really? My husband just stood there, mouth agape. A life without a microwave is not one he wants to live.
Still need to replace? The washer and drier. Ours is still working, but barely, and I just know it's about to give up the ghost, as it were. Sucky. I do enjoy HAVING new appliances. It's the paying for them part that sucks hole.
Seriously, vacuum. I go through shitloads of vacumms...

I had to replace a toaster this year. All in all, no biggie. Are you going to get one of those fancy front loaders?
