Randomness

-WTF with Wall Street and China and Japan's markets today? One of the reasons I loathe the stock market is because most of the time, what happens is not really based on any kind of data, just "feelings." Ridiculous that our country's financial health is so closely tied to the equivalent of one of those game machines that rate you "passionate" or "cold as a fish" when you grip the handle. You know the kind I am talking about, right?

-We are planning a possible vacation, and I have to say I haven't been this pleased about something in a long time. I'm getting a little ahead of myself as it is conditional on something, but it just goes to show how long it's been since we've had a true vacation. Try over five years. Crikey! No wonder I'm crabby!

-Did I mention that we have chosen to baptize Mr. P into the Catholic Church? More on that some other time.

-There is an online version of my local newspaper, and they have just begun allowing comments after articles. I don't know whether it is the cloak of anonymity that emboldens them or what, but people are spewing some of the the most ignorant and hateful things I have read in a long time.

-Did I mention that we are having a new roof put on? Did I mention the incessant hammering and constant shuffling footsteps of multiple people seemingly hanging out on my roof at all hours of the day? And the very early morning?

-Could I be any more disgusted that Heather Mills aka ex-Lady McCartney is going to be on Dancing with the Stars? She's a total skank. I might boycott it just for that reason alone.

-I have desperately been looking for a concert to go to in the next few weeks for my upcoming birthday, and people, NO ONE is playing. The best I've got is INXS at an Indian Casino. Argh. I live in the freakin' entertainment capital of the world, and that's the best there is. I'm doomed.
