WTF?

Yes, yes, I know.

I cannot pull my head out of my ass and post here, can I?

I don't know why but putting up a post on this particular blog is one of the last things I think of doing during the day. Compare that to the heady days of 2006-07 when I was so wrapped up in this blog I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Well, I'm thinking that I have a healthier attitude about this blog compared to then, but even the crickets are getting lonely around here.

What have I been doing with myself?

Well, chasing a toddler around, for one.

You know, when I was raising the toddler version of Mr. P, I thought he was fairly challenging. He was clingy and a high needs baby. So I was full of woe is me and my god, my life is so damn hard.

So when we found out Ms. P was coming along, we thought to ourselves, finally! Our easy baby!

Well, the joke was certainly on us as this little girl is quite frankly hell on wheels.

As underweight and tiny as she is, she DOES NOT STOP. She is constantly, constantly moving and if she is not moving, she WANTS TO MOVE. Highchairs and carseats are hated, and roaming around the house or outside is by far her favorite activity.

Except it isn't mommy's favorite activity because mommy finds herself keeping this child from running into the street or playing with the knob on the television tuner or fifty other annoying things that she knows darn well she shouldn't be doing but does them anyway.

I used to think that parents who used those backpack/leash thingys were lazy.

Now, I know better.

I don't have one, but let me tell you, I'm tempted.

We used a leash with our first grand, and she was fine with it. The second wasn't, but oddly enough, he didn't really need it.

Oh man, are you having fun yet? That's not to say things won't get better with Ms. P (because they will), but that's probably cold comfort as you chase her around. Good to see you blogging here again!

Get a leash! My grandma used one on my mom, because she was pregnant with a toddler running around. :)

I'm also glad to see you here. I confess, I was cleaning out my blogroll a bit the other day, and I ALMOST removed you, thinking you were done. I adore you too much, though, so I couldn't do it.

I understand what you're doing with Teeny, but I like your writing better here. Just my stupid opinion. :)

xoxo

Oh, and thanks for the pic of the kids. GORGEOUS@
