Music Monday

My friends, I feel like going a little retro today. Care to take a trip back with me to 1982? Young Gina was in fifth grade, and although a lot of the lyrics flew right over my innocent twin-ponytailed head, I still knew that I liked what I heard. I dare you to not move a muscle while this song is playing. I have found that it is just not possible.

And listen, those special effects were GOLD back in 1982.

Fun song! Though, gee, what a violent video with all of the bombings and camo and all...

I seem to remember this being a popular song at the High School dances, and it works so well with that 80s dance!

Once again, no clue who this is. This song is vaguely familiar, although in 1982, I was a junior in college so my references are a bit different than yours.
This was 4th grade for me....and I love it. Always happy with a musical trip down memory lane! Thanks for the smile!

In 1982 I was at Wichita State and had my own show on the college radio station. I didn't play stuff like this. You only heard this stuff on Top 40, and I was too cool for Top 40 then. This was also big in the dance clubs, but everyone I knew was too cool to dance to this sort of thing.

In 1982, I was an old married lady for 2 years already!! AND, Rick and I loved this song--we probably had it on 8-track. LOL. Who doesn't love these singing groups who dance in sync (no pun intended) like Gladys' Pips, The Temptations, etc? They were the first and the BEST.

(Hey, you want rockin' funk to get you movin', then next Monday, put "Word Up" by Cameo on here, or "Flashlight"!)

Man, this reminds me of my sophomore year of high school. KFRC playing The Gap Band over and over and over...It's fun to listen to now, but I really got burnt out on this back in the day.
