Friday Poll

Do you wish you lived in another part of the country/world? Or do you like it just fine where you are?

I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I have lived in a lot of different parts of the country and I always find that I like where ever I end up. I don't wish that I lived in a different spot because I am not a huge fan of moving unless something makes me do it.

I wouldn't mind living in parts of the caribbean - but really it doesn't get better than living here in America. I don't care what anyone says this country is the best. Where can you find a country where you come here with nothing and end up with a lil something-something with a bit of hard work. This country ROCKS!

I love traveling to other countries, tho.

Okay now that was a mouthful wasn't it. You probably didn't need my rambling on - heheheh!

For universal health care... I wish I lived in Spain again. After 25 years of not having to worry about being able to afford excellent health care, I find the system here ridiculously expensive, (and no, I did not pay higher taxes there, if anything they were lower.), inefficient, etc., etc. If public education is a birthright, then public health should also be in that category.

For "mind set" and free-thinking I also really prefer Europe or at least another part of the U.S. that is not in the bible belt. But for the hispanic connection, I am better off here. Or possibly where you live, though the cost of living scares me a little, lol.

I have lived in the same area (within 30 miles) since I was born. I don't like change. BUT, in the right situation, I'd probably consider a change of scenery.

I've lived all over as well, but I love where I live now and can't imagine moving again.

Yes! Oh GOD, YEEES! I hate L.A. But aside from that, no matter where I live currently, I would rather live in Europe. More vacation days, better healthcare, more benefits to working parents, better schools ... PLUS. It. Is. EUROPE (prolly somewhere in the English Isles)...oh, I could go on and on ...

Ask me now... I'm happy exactly where I am..... in mid Dcember I'll have another response.

I love where I live now for a list of reasons a mile long. I love to travel, but home is best.

However, when kids are gone, there is another place that really calls to me where I plan to move when we retire (hubby can come with if he wants, lol) because for another list of reasons, that's where I want to finish my days.
After hearing about the care a friend received when she had her two kids in Switzerland, I would have liked to live there while pregnant. But mostly, unless a hurricane hits, I like where we are.

Our current location is okay, but I would rather live closer to family. We're here all by ourselves.
Gina (waving wildly) Hi!!! I'm sorry I haven't visited in a while. I took a blogging break and now I'm finally back, I think :) I am still trying to get through all my backlog of bloglines, but I'm getting there.

My new blog is public too so that is much better than having a private one. If you get a chance, check out my new blog:

On to your post. Well, I do like living where I do (in North Texas) but I think I would REALLY like to live near Colorado - or near the mountains. I hate really cold weather though, so I guess I would only like it in the summer! I would just love to live close to someplace like Glacier National Park (where we just went on vacation) so I could spend weekends hiking, traveling, taking pictures, etc. It seems like where I live, it takes a long time to get to anyplace "good"!

Have a great rest of the weekend.

In a way, both. I've been having a lot of weird feelings about this the last couple of weeks.
