Update

The conference today lasted over an hour. I am happy to report that the teacher was very receptive to what I had to say. Although I think she was understating some things that went on, we were both able to develop a plan of action, both at home and at school.

I know that kids are resilient, but mine has the memory of a freaking elephant. He just does not forget things. Even things that happened years ago. I'm wondering if his future wife will like that trait or will hate it passionately. It could go either way. And, he gets it from me.

Anyhoo, I have been a veddy veddy bad bloggy friend lately. I have been reading faithfully in my bloglines, but for some reason am finding less time to actually click over and comment.

I lurve you all, thanks for your support!

Hi Gina,

I missed the post below, but I am glad lots of bloggy friends were here to support you. I am so sorry that things are not going well at school. I hope the plan you hashed out with the teacher works out.

Having problems at school SUCK. I know, I've been there with my eldest. Hugs.

I leave the Internets for a day and I miss out. I'm glad this issue, whatever it is, is seemingly resolved. Ugh. Like Heidi says, it sucks when the kids have issues at school or with other kids.

I couldn't sleep last night (carrying a 25 lb 15 mo old can do a num-bah on your back) and I actually thought a lot about your post yesterday.

It's strange. I have never MET you, but I was worried for you and Mr. P.

Glad to hear I won't have to worry so much anymore. Hope all works out for the best!

At least the teacher seemed receptive. E has had some on-off issues with other girls since the start of 4th grade. Her teacher has been good at keeping me up to date on her perspective as to what is going on. I hope your plan works and things go okay.

I have that same memory trait. It comes in handy, but sometimes it's a burden.

I have been a bad blog pal as well—it's just the season for little time for blogsocializing, I guess.

It sounds like you kept your cool. Well done. And I too have one of those kids who remembers everything, both good and bad.

I hope things at school get better, and that Mr. P can remember what happened, and what you did about it, so he'll know that you're always there for him. If he has to have super memory, at least let it be put to good use, right? ;)

I'm so happy to hear that you and the teacher where able to reach nderstanding. They say kids are resilent, but I'm with you on this...they NEVER forget a thing.

Sorry so that this school hasn't worked out as well as you would have liked for Mr. P.
