Friday Poll

And so we come to the chapter where my washing machine no longer works. After only six years, it has bitten the dust. However, it has been five days without a washer, and I'm starting to reach the bottom of the underwear drawer. You know, the uncomfortable underwear, and it's making me crabby. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about, either.

So what was the last appliance you had to replace?

That would be our washer and dryer. Our washer decided to stop working with a full load of clothes and water in it. That was loads of fun! Hope you get yours fixed (or replaced) soon!

Our dishwasher. We went 4 or 5 years without one and couldn't take it anymore.

Bwahahahhahahah, no sympathy here g'friend. I know you don't read my blog, but what appliance including hot water heater hasn't broken on me in the past 6 months!

All new appliances were delivered last Saturday ALL BRAND SPANKING NEW ... the REPLACEMENT fridge was delivered yesterday 'cuz the new one didn't work. How do I know that? The next morning all my ice cream was melted, everything thawed and my house was colder than inside the refrigerator.

Now the best part, it was a model changeover time and everything I picked out to MATCH ... isn't available anymore so the new fridge doesn't match the dishwasher, stove& microwave. The new look is so NEW, they aren't available yet, so now I have to wait ... a month. They did leave the range and dishwasher for me to use until then.

Sorry you asked? LOL

DAMN The last appliances I replaced were the washer and dryer...as I didn't get them in the divorce. (Didn't want them because they were already 8 years old!!!)

Sorry about your undies and all...

the coffee maker. i know it's small as appliances go, but it's so vital in our house. hubby is an awful coffee maker -- he never measures the grounds so they always spill into the machine -- so after only 3 years, we had to replace it.

Hmmm ... our stove top in the AZ house. Nothing horrible like running out of undies.

Yikes. Hate when I get to the third-string undies. Now, when you have to resort to the MATERNITY UNDERWEAR, that's when all hope is truly lost.

Last appliance I had to replace was the microwave. And I really had to deliberate: do I NEED a microwave, really? My husband just stood there, mouth agape. A life without a microwave is not one he wants to live.

HAD to replace? The stove. The oven was wonky, and one of the burners didn't work, and another only sometimes worked. Sigh. We also replaced the dishwasher, due to trying to move, to make it match the stove and fridge.

Still need to replace? The washer and drier. Ours is still working, but barely, and I just know it's about to give up the ghost, as it were. Sucky. I do enjoy HAVING new appliances. It's the paying for them part that sucks hole.

I don't know if you would call it an appliance... I keep it in my underwear drawer... but it totally wore out. *snigger*

Why, the washer and dryer, of course! We got a new set after Christmas. They don't make 'em like they used to...

We're in a new house so haven't had anything die yet. Unless you count the ice machine that met its demise when black nail polish accidently got crushed in it....

The stove. And I didn't have to replace it, but... as we were remodeling the kitchen and it was ugly beyond belief, etc., well.... Next on my list is the washer. Oops, make that air conditioner. The hot weather is just around the bend.
I want to replace my washer. Does that count? Otherwise, I think it was the fridge...

Girl, I know the underwear problem of which you speak.

I had to replace a toaster this year. All in all, no biggie. Are you going to get one of those fancy front loaders?
