Time Warpin'

I'm actually enjoying going back and finding fun stuff that I wrote. I hope you are, too. If not, I forgive you. Sort of.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
O, old Winnie the Pooh pajama bottoms, you were the best. Until the other morning when I woke up with my left butt cheek hanging rather unexpectedly in the breeze, you were my most favorite pair of pajama pants.
Your softness was unbeatable, like brushed silk, even though you were made of cotton. I guess ten years or so of constant washing will do that to fabric. It also will eventually produce said tear above.
You didn't bunch up at the crotch, a very important feature for pajama pants. You hung loosely and comfortably, rather like harem pants. Over the years, you seemed to expand with me, but in a good and comfortable way.
Even though you had little rips and stains from God knows where, I still loved you dearly, and all other pajama pants had to measure up to your standards. All of them failed, but now, you are gone.
I will have to make do with the ones that are cut a little too tight in the thigh, or ones that bunch up around my waist when I turn in bed.
I will probably endure many sleepless nights wishing I still had you, pulling the inferior pants out of unmentionable places and cursing softly. You will be missed, and the search for your replacement, however seemingly impossible, has begun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And even though that was written back in 04, I have yet to find any pajama pants that were as perfect as those. Sigh...

I have a pair of fleece pj pants from Old Navy that are awesome and fit well. I have a hard time finding comfy around the home pants with a proper rise. I have a couple pairs that have a rise that make the waist band hit just under my bra. I hate that but then I hate to just chuck them too.

You are funny as heck! But I do know what you mean. 4 years and no perfect substitute. Sad indeed

Perfect pajama pants are very hard to find. I hate parting with a good pair. Good luck with the continued search....

Ooh! I have a pair of Paul Frank low-rise pj pants in a sofffffft cotton, with Julius the monkey's face all over. Best ever. Sorry about Pooh.

I like that you are sharing older posts, I have gone back, but not that far!
I love to come home from wherever, whenever, and put on a comfy pair of jammy pants or sweatpants. It's like when Mr. Rogers put on his comfy sweater as soon as he came in the door.

Gina you are a mess! lol Girlfriend I would have patched and repatched said pajamas. I have a shirt right now that looks more like a patched quilt comforter than a shirt. I refuse to give it away it's so comfortable.
