Next Thing You Know, He'll Start Sulking In His Room

It is a family tradition that when we eat dinner, the three of us as our little family, we share the best thing that happened to us during the day. I feel it is a way to start positive conversations, and give each other a glimpse of how our days went.

Last night, Hubba-hubba told us that he had a fun time at lunch because he met a friend he hadn't seen in a long time, and it gave them a chance to talk and catch up.

From stage left, a little voice pipes up, with timing worthy of the greatest comedian and says, "Boooo-riiiing."

Hello young child who cannot even tie his own shoe, how did you go from five to fifteen in a matter of three seconds? When did this jaded world view become yours?

We've got a looooong road ahead of us, don't we?

You are going to have your hands full!
May be a long road, but I can use my psychic abilities and see that it will be a fun and entertaining one. And those seem to be the best ones. :)

Haha!

We were at a dinner event the other night, where my friend was playing a short pre-dinner concert. Part way through his concert, Maddie said (in a loud stage whisper so that the other tables around us heard her loud and clear) "I'm BORED!"

It's always a shock when we slightly sarcastic folk give birth to the same.
"And so it begins.."

Ya gotta wonder if kids should be kept in isolation form each other until they are older. What they learn from each other isn't always good.

Ahh, yes but I'm sure it will be full of laughs. A few days ago while driving, I was explaining to Christopher why he should stop hitting his sister in her face with his luvey.
Mid way he sighed out loudly and said, "Oh, shush mama. You talk too much!" I mean what do you say?

Sigh, it happens. You get many more glimpses until he becomes a full blown annoying teen ager. Autumn "mother"'d me this weekend. I actually did a double take. It was the first time. :( Brat. I've grounded her from saying it again til she's 30.

See, this is what happens when we allow our children to mix with others OR watch television. We lose control. Little by little, we give it right up.

Damn.

It doesn't seem to take long to pick up on the attitude. I really hate the "whatever" answer, myself.

Happy Thanksgiving.

They seem to start waaaayyy earlier with the sarcasm these days. I don't think I started saying disrespectful things to my parents until I was at least 8 years old.
Happy Turkey Day!
