And We Both Were Wearing Pants Because Damnit, It's Not Supposed to be 87 Degrees in November!

So thus it is proven that great minds think alike.

I am happy to report that I am no longer a virgin. I would like to thank Amy for being so considerate of my feelings and making me feel special.

Oh, I mean a Blogger Meet-Up virgin, of course!

Mr. Personality and I were fortunate enough to be able to meet up with Amy of POW (soon to be crowned Queen of the Blogger Meet-Up) and her two gorgeous kids, Vivian and Isaac. Just think of a family that is blonde, blue eyed and cute as all get out, and you've pretty much got hers down. Amy is exactly what I pictured she would be, funny, a great mom, and totally down-to-earth. Just as she is on her blog.

We had a nice lunch, even with the bee that just would not leave us alone even though there were plenty of other people to bother, of which it seemed no one ate much. Perhaps it was just too hot, and I felt bad for Amy because hardly anyone, not even me, was a taker for her healthy and generous offer of veggies to snack on. Sorry Amy, you are fighting the good fight, though!

We managed have some great conversations, even though our children could not seem to resist the pull of the arcade and we kept having to chase after them. They were playing in one of those fountains that shoot water up from little holes in the ground, you know what I mean, right? Here they are, having a great time soaking themselves in this ridiculous weather we are having, and I notice that the fountain does this interesting curve. If you follow it a certain way, it points you directly into the arcade! Our poor little boys fell victim to this dastardly subliminal marketing, thus necessitating a look-see into the arcade. Free fun was had by all as they were all young enough not to really know how the whole arcade thing works! They were perfectly satisfied with sitting on the seats of things and pretending to steer, to which I say stimulating the imagination is priceless. The only catch was when one of the racing games kept showing some scantily clad cyber-slut, which Amy and I viewed with equal horror.

All in all, a great time was had. I even allowed Amy to see me with my two-toned hair that I haven't gotten colored yet, that's how much I love her! Oh, and unlike her last meet-up with a fellow blogger which boosted her daily hit count by an impressive number, I think I might cause hers to actually drop a little.

But, I'm up for it again anytime! I could really get used to this meeting great people in person thing.

Sounds fun . . . but it also seems that you've been cheating on me! ;)

Oh, I am SO jealous (of you and of Amy). I'm glad you had such a nice time. I don't suppose you have any plans to travel East any time soon...

We had so much fun! Despite the bees, the gratuitous boob shots in the arcade and the 100 degree weather! I can't wait to do it again.

(And yes, I got lost on the way home. And no, I did not manage to keep Vivian awake in the car. And no, she did not nap once we got home. STILL, I can't wait to do it again!)

I can't believe Amy met anther blogger behind my back. ;-)

Isn't she the cutest thing ever? Seriously. I wish I could keep her all for myself, but, obviously I CAN'T.

Ah eb, your purse, that lovely purse!

I'm pretty sure Gina, being the purse loving woman that she is, also would have made fun of that cute girl purse you carried that evening.

Gina, trust me. You would have laughed too. It was inspirational, that purse of hers. She kept it hidden under the table most of the night. Wonder why? ;)

Ok, it seems that I am going to have to see a picture of the dang thing in order to see exactly what all the fuss is about.

eb?

eb, make sure the pic shows you wearing it the way you were wearing it on the night in question.
