A Long Fifteen Years Ahead

So for a while, things were glum in Hubba-hubba's world. The Yankees were a good five games out of first place, and not looking like they would even win the wild card slot. With the Yankees in first place at the moment, he is feeling downright cheerful.

When he holds Mr. Personality down and tickles him, he forces him to shout, "I love the Yankees, the Yankees are good, the Red Sox are bad!" When Mr. Personality's uncle bought him an Angel's hat and he wore it everywhere for a few weeks, Hubba-Hubba ruefully shook his head that since it was a gift, he couldn't exactly tell him not to wear it. Even though he practically wanted to rip it off his head. Yesterday I slightly disparaged the actual city of Boston, and Hubba-hubba beamed and stated he knew he married me for a reason.

But, Mr. Personality is entering the age of being a bit too smart for his own good. He walked up to his dad this morning and made an announcement, with a twinkle in his eye.

"I am a Red Sox."

"Oh no you're not," said Hubba-hubba.

"Yes I am. I like the Red Sox."

"I will have no traitors in this house."

"The Red Sox are good!"

"Boy, if you ever want your inheritance, you will never say that again!"

I thought this kind of rebellion wasn't supposed to occur until he was a teenager. Evidently, Hubba-hubba is going to have to mount a much stronger propaganda campaign in order to keep this child in line. I'm guessing that Mr. Personality is not going to be above taking bribes in the future. Apparently, I birthed no dummy.

Oh and what makes you think such behavior will stop after 15 years? :)
