Out of Breath...
Well, the surgery was yesterday and it went very well indeed. We got the first surgery of the day, hello pre-op at 6:30AM! The whole pre-op thing went faster than the CT stuff, probably because they were able to put in her IV after she was under as they used gas anesthetic. It turned out to be a dermoid cyst, which is primarily congenital. The vast majority of these are benign, and this one didn't have any signs to say that it might not be. Although of course, they will send a specimen to biopsy just in case. The incision is about an inch, there are internal stitches that she can't really mess with, and Babygirl reports no pain. So huzzah! I did read some stuff about children "regressing" in behavior after being anesthetized for a longer period of time, and I have to say that for her, it is somewhat true.
