Friday Poll

I was supposed to go to a field trip of Mr. P's the other day, but some things happened, and I was only able to get five hours of sleep. And dude, Gina cannot exist on five hours of sleep alone. So I had to beg off, which was no big deal since I wasn't a chaperone or anything, and I went home and slept for a blissful two and a half hours.

How many hours of sleep do you normally get?

And how is that working for you?

When that happens to me I can make it, but I'm a wreck all day, then I get home and I'm wired for sound. It's like a cruel joke. I average 7-1/2 a night. 10 to 11 on special weekends, at least one of the days.

I probably get about 6-7 work nights and 8-9 on weekends. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Today is a less type of day since stuff happened last night for me too and even though I try to stay away from caffeine I will likely be hitting it today... which will make tonight and therefore tomorrow it's own situation. Thankfully I don't believe there are any plans for tomorrow.

I get around 7, regardless of whether it's workday or weekend. I'm such a creature of habit that I get up after 7 hours, no matter what. It works out fine. If I lose sleep due to stress or illness, I usually manage to catch it up somehow. My issue is that I just cannot EVER nap during the day. EVER. I am envious of those who can.

I get 8 most nights, a bit more on weekends. I need my sleep!

I probably get 5 or 6 on a good night. It works out alright except during really busy days, then not so much.

Seven, usually. Being a night shift guy, it's not how much I sleep that's killing me so much as when I sleep. Though I have set up a nice quiet dark room, I still feel like sleeping in the daytime throws me off, even though I've been doing it for years.

I try to get 7-8 hours. Since I've been in menopause, I've struggled to get 5-6 though. It's been a rough couple months. I do best on at least 7 hours.

Solid seven; it's juuuuuust right. Before I had kids I slept 5-6 and was rarin' to early every morning, but now the body demands seven.

close to 8 hours for me. if i sleep all night... I am so a daylight person so it's a good thing I'm no vampire.

about 5 hours on a good night.. none consecutive though... a big issue in my life, chronic sleep deprevation;(

Typically between 6-7 which really isn't enough for me. I just can't make it to bed earlier. Or, if I do, I get wrapped up in a book and stay up too late reading!

Here I am, late to the Friday poll AGAIN. I overslept. Ha ha ha.

I get about 8+ hours of sleep each night. I've been put on some really powerful (and weird) drugs, though, so I am now craving much more sleep. I think the sleep I am getting isn't restful which is why I need more.
