Monday Music Mania

I just cannot keep it together. So much to do and so little time to do it. I think it's all these damn birthday parties. It seems like a frickin' birthday party every weekend, sometimes two in one weekend.

It's a bit much.

Today's party I swear had over eighty people. At least eighty people for a kid's birthday party. And yes, their place was huge. Granted, it seemed that many were family, and a big family it was. So that's cool and all. I just covet their kitchen, which I think was bigger than half of my house. I'm not even kidding.

So, onto some music to get you in the mood to start the week off.

When Bush came on the scene back in the 90's, I wasn't really all that into them. But then again, I had never heard this song. I think it is beautiful, and it makes me feel peaceful and sleepy. Which is a good thing.

Uhh, and this video has some people gettin' it on a bit, just a warning. But let me just say that if Gavin Rossdale and I got busy and he tried to track me down aferwards, I would totally NOT run the other way and pretend I didn't know him.

I knew a guy who broke into his ex-wife's house and painted messages on the wall like that and he was, um, a little cuckoo. So I vote for running away from Gavin.
I never heard/saw this one before, but I liked it!

I've been to those birthday parties, too. It's overwhelming, to say the least, and then you come home to what was formerly your home-sweet-home, only to find it turned into a shack. I *hate* those birthdays!

Mmm good memories. Bush was the very first band that I ever saw in concert. The concert was close enough to our house that my parents even let me drive there all by myself. Good times.

We have hardly been to any birthday parties. My friends don't throw them and Evan is not in preschool, so we are not invited to any of those. I kind of like it.

Syd is getting to that b-day party age and has rec'd several invites that we've been unable to attend. Thankfully, we had to be out of town or were having company.

Where do you draw the line? I know we're headed down that road and I just don't know what to do about. Are we expected to buy gifts for every kid in her class?? IPES!

Yikes, that is one big birthday bash, esp. for kiddles.

You can have this guy--his lips are too little for me.

I'm so grateful that Maya's outgrown birthday parties. Her friends have parties that are manageable in size, as did she. I love that.

We went to one once, many moons ago, with maybe 150 ppl? Insane. It was a 1st birthday party. I'm guessing the kid was TOTALLY overwhelmed by the gifts.
