Music Monday

That's right my friends, you read that right. Mondays are going to be all about the music! You may not like my taste in music, but, if you give some of these a try, you just might discover a new group.

One of my latest musical obsessions is the band Keane. I have two of their CD's (do you know that I just typed in albums right now, I'm that old!) and adore them both. Their biggest hit to date is a song called "Somewhere Only We Know." But, they have many other songs that are just as good, if not better.

I am finding that the older I get, the mellower I want my music to be. This song is actually one of their most "rocking" ones that I have heard. And, I love the lead singer's voice! Ohmigod, I sound just like a 13 year old looking at her Tiger Beat magazine, don't I? Ah well, I have never claimed to be a music critic.

To be sure, the video is a bit er, disturbing on some levels, but if you don't like it, just minimize the screen and turn up the volume, because it's still a great song.

Mellow music is awesome. I love to put on light jazz when we're having dinner. It creates such a lovely atmosphere.

Music Monday's is a good way to start off the week. My new fav CD is Introducing Joss Stone. So much soul for a tiny white chick.

I hadn't heard that song before, so groovy, thanks! But why was his clone stealing my car at the end? ;)

I still call them albums too! I haven't really listened to music in oh so very long because it is something we did together almost every night and I can't cry over just about anything, but maybe your music Mondays are just the thing. Thanks Gina!

For some reason, the clip isn't working on my work computer. I'll check it out when I get home. I'm not sure if I'm getting more mellow in my tastes or just getting stuck in a particular genre. I tried Pandora and I found that while I like the music the "station" picked for me, I thought there were too many "sound alikes."

Holy crap, is that Giovanni Ribisi in that video? And thanks for another band to look into. Last time, you got me onto Aqualung and I enjoyed some of their stuff.

And hey, I call them "albums" as well. "CDs" just sounds awful. No cache.
