Sixth Day Poll

At the risk of sounding terribly Scrooge-y,

Are you over Christmas already, even though it isn't even here yet?

Not yet, but it could be any day now.

Absolutely. And because my family is arriving in batches, I will have Christmas 3 times over the next 12 days.

We don't even have our tree yet...that's how not in the mood I am.

Yeah, and I haven't even started to tackle wrapping the pile o' presents!

I am weary of bad Christmas music, which seems to be everywhere--and by "bad,", I mean things like Jingle Bell Rock and Felic Navidad by Jose Feliciano--that kind of stuff.

But I'm not over Christmas yet. I will see my sisters next week for a couple of days, the only time we see each other, and after that I can be over it.
Ummm...I am not tired of christmas. no where close. Maybe in like March I would be...
Yes and No. I'm tired of all the commercials for toys and jewelry; not being able to find parking at the malls; and my one neighbor who literally threw her holiday decorations out in to her yard, plugged them in and called it a day. But, I always love Christmas morning with the family.

was I ever in it? Sadly, no.

Well, I'm not over it because I have not had a single minute until now to even think about it. Now I have 4 days to decorate, cook, buy presents... I would be over it, however, if I paid any attention to the Christmas bombardment by stores, TV commercials, etc.

Why is this Christmas so awful? I hate to say it, but it just is. And that's almost everyone's take on it, too. It's wearying, this Christmas. I cannot wait to get past it, and I'm not usually like this.

I just want it, all of it, to go away.

No way!

Not even close! I had to work up until today, but at quitting time, it will be 2 weeks off for me, and going to visit family for the holiday. :) Then back home in time for my birthday and some New Years fun, and some days going on day trips to Monterey and so on. What's not to love about that? I'm totally ready for some fun Christmas magic!

Nope! I'm still in Advent awaiting Christmas.

Bah Humbug.

I hate Christmas this year. And I hate the courier company that I paid a small fortune to deliver my sons Christmas present and they didn't.

I just want it all to be over. And to smash someones head into the pavement for wrecking my Christmas...... *sob*

I think sometimes we all get so carried away with the preparations that we don't really enjoy the holidays. But to me the best part of Christmas is the time spent with family and the food. I am looking forward to the many Christmas get togethers we have and to all the wonderful dishes we'll have.

I'm trying to be better about it. I just think it's a huge stressful crapfest. I'm trying to be more festive this year though. I can't wait for it to be over, take down my tree, and get my life and house back in order!!!

I thought that going away on a Christmas holiday would be a breeze, instead we have had mini Christmases every weekend since Nov 24th... yeah, I'm over Christmas.
It was - 25C overnight in F that's damn cold!!! Getting up at 2am to
head your way tonight, my body is craving sunlight.
I'll call.

No way! Not even close! I'm sitting here watching the snow swirl around my house, still smelling the chocolate from the toffee and peanut butter balls I just made...wishing that time would slow down so Christmas wouldn't be over so quickly. =)

It is now 3 p.m. Since 9 a.m., I have only been wrapping presents, with time off to vacuum my room, the living room, the kitchen and the dining room. But you know? I'm not over Christmas at all. Just another 30 minutes of wrapping. Then I'm ready for Christmas to start! Sick mofo I am.

No, but that's because I haven't had any time to think about Christmas. It's going to be great this year!
I've felt guilty all month...but I really hate the obligations that Christmas brings. The decorations, the social events, the gifts, etc. I was feeling more scroogy than I am now, perhaps because I am done shopping, done with my Christmas letters, and just DONE in general. Now, I'm relaxing at my sisters in another state (missouri where it is FREEZING!!!) and nothing to do but books to read, dvds to watch, and blogs to catch up reading...so I'm pretty much enjoying the Christmas season now. And hey, maybe Santa will bring me some camera accessories I want. In the true spirit of Christmas though, I am so thankful for everything God has blessed me with - family, friends and health. Life is good :)

Merry Christmas my friend.
