End-of-the-Week Poll

I ordered my Christmas cards today, and they should be ready sometime tomorrow.

Now, if you get a photo card, do you expect it to be signed? Or is it good enough that the card has "Love, the XYZ Family" printed on it?

Comments

Signed. Definitely.

If you sign it, won't it dent the picture? Signing is nice, although I don't sign my cards. I make the by hand and print our names--my writing is too bad to have to sign 30 cards..

Either way is good. If it already has a printed signature though, then signing might be redundant.

I like them signed. I am a personal kind of person. I hand write the few cards that I manage to send out because it seems a lot nicer. I guess I had better get started. lol

You've got to sign them otherwise it seems so disconnected.

I sign because I'm obsessive like that, but don't think anything less of those who don't...

I like it signed. More personal.

Signed. As a matter of fact, my favorites are the ones with a little news in them...not the 'newsletter', but just a note saying how folks are doing, and showing that they care. Otherwise, it seems kind of inpersonal to me.

I think signed adds a nice personal touch.

1. i don't send cards
2. but, if they're printed, then why bother signing?
3. if they're printed, i don't expect a signature
4. if you're sending a card, then it would seem that you care enough to want to sign them
5. if you don't care enough to sign the card, why are you sending it?

DOn't sign them! I kind of hate the blurry, scratchy hand written signatures when the name is already printed there. But I see I am in the minority. No surprise there!

I don't really care if it's signed, but I do like a little personal note, just so I know the card was meant for me.

Having said that, I rarely do cards anymore!
sign it please!!

I have to say, my heart sinks a little when I get a card and it's not even signed. For all I know, they paid some child minimum wage to stuff and send the cards. We send out a boatload, but I always feel the need to at least sign our names, and I usually throw in a personal note. This is why it takes us a week to get the damn things out!

Sign it. It's Christmas, after all.

Yeah, I'm in the signed camp. But at least make sure it's not postage due.

If the names are printed, I don't expect it to be signed. It's the thought (and effort of sending the darn things) that counts :)

I feel lucky to get any Xmas cards at all! The pre-printed cards are fine, although, I sign mine.(If I send any)

I'm supposed to sign them? I thought I was doing so good to have those photo cards printed and hand-addressed the envelopes. Not to mention that I actually put stamps on them and put them in the mail!

I went to order my corporate christmas cards for clients, and was told that we aren't doing christmas cards this year, we are doing e-mails, and they would provide the "holiday e-mail template". Well needless to say I was very upset and disapointed...
