No Vacancy?

So lately I have been wondering where a lot of my time is going. Hmmm, I think all I need to do is take a look at my Bloglines Feed page and voila, my question is answered.

I have subscribed to so many blog feeds, I hardly know what to do with myself. I try to get all of them every day, some days being better than others. Sometimes I will just read from the feed page, others I will actually click on the site. Depends on how much time I have, and a few months ago, I actually swore up and down that I would no longer be adding people to my feed list.

Yeah right.

That is the insidious thing about blogging. Even if you say to yourself, as I did, I will no longer actively seek out new blogs. But then, wonderful people like Atasha and Py Korry, Maya's Granny, Amber, and Cherry come to my blog or are pointed out to me be other bloggers, (yes, J, I am pointing the finger at you!) and are so delightful and charming that I cannot resist. I truly am not proactive about looking for new blogs. It isn't that I don't think there are lots of great writers out there, I am positive that there are. If I found them they would bring me to reflection, or make me laugh, or whatever special thing it is that each of my favorite bloggers brings to the table. It is just that I only have so many hours in a day to devote to the whole blogging culture, and I'm already waaaay over my limit. The phrase "wafer thin mint" comes to mind.

I like to think of the blogging world as made up of circles. Almost like those logic questions where you have a bunch of rings and some of them intercept into other rings, including some and not including others. But not in a bad way. For instance there are bloggers that are popular and some of my blogging buddies like a great deal, yet I am not able to connect with for whatever reason. And I am sure the same goes for me for some people, minus the popular part. Most of us travel within similar circles, yet there are only a few with whom we include in our personal circles.

And man, my circle is getting really large. Larger than I ever thought it could be when I began this blogging journey. I like it that way, but can I absorb any more without having my husband make good on his threat to throw our computer out the window?

Whaddaya wanna bet I've got a new person on my blogroll within the next couple of weeks?

At least I'm not in denial.

That's a good thing, right?

Aww, how sweet! Thanks. I'm a bloggaholic and I'm not ashamed of it :-) My husband sees me sitting at the computer more than he would like and just this morning he said, "what is it that you're doing over there all the time? You seem to tune everyone out". Well that's none of his business! Ha, ofcourse I didn't say that.
