Pointless Points Trivia

So welcome to the sneaky, you-didn't-think-I-would-do-them-so-close-together Pointless Points Trivia Sunday.

Just like the truth and Fox News, the points just don't matter!

Ba da bing!

Who was the first ruler to have his head on a coin during his reign?

Probably way off here, but I'm guessing Julius Caesar.

J, that is what I originally thought on this question, but it is not Julius Caesar.

That was my guess - I'll go back and think some more. It's like waiting for the first two people on Jeopardy to blow it so I can chime in.

I went back through the Romans but none of them seemed to fit. The early Greeks had gods and goddesses.

Couldn't find too much on the Phoenicians but I wondered - what about Alexander?

Alexander the Great does seem like a logical choice...

You guys are getting very close with Alexander, who was also my second thought! But it isn't Alexander.

This is a toughie.

Ptolemy I?
Hope said…
Ptolemy 1 of Egypt, first living. Prior to that all were dead prior to having their portrait on a coin.
Gina said…
Yes, Liz got the correct answer at 2:09 pm.

The key, as Hope indicated, was that it was during his reign.

You mean I get my points back?? Yippee!!

Gina, this is a great idea. I don't know about everyone else, but I must click on your blog about 10 times a day to see if you have a new question!

Just imagine if the points really did matter!

Isn't there some kind of rule or something against pointless points trivia on Sunday?

Eh. I'm just pouting because I was late again. Not that I knew the answer. :)

Hey, Elizabeth, we haven't seen what Angelina names her kid yet. Gwyneth named her newborn Moses. I'll bet you $5 that Angelina names her kid Ptolemy...or maybe Jesus...or Caesar.

And what kind of name is Elizabeth anyway? Oh...nevermind.
