Ding Ding Ding Ding!

So, I have finally reached my 10,000th visitor. Please take pity on my excitement, as for a while there, I thought that my pinnacle would be 1000.

OK, so as far as I can tell from my completely free (read:crappy) Bravenet counter, the person who actually hit fits this description:

Direct Hit
Dec 18, 2005 05:07:33 PM Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

'Fess up! Who were you? If you let me know who you were, I might have a bitty surprise for you.

But then again, why didn't you leave a comment on my previous hilarious post?

Hmmmm, I'll have to think about it...

PS- Is it just my screen or is that stupid Blogger thingy in a large box to the left instead of spreading across the top? Anybody know how to help with that? I haven't edited my template or anything like that recently.

It's just doing it in IE. Bad IE.

I suppose that could be just about anybody. It may even have been me! But I doubt it. Is that time stamp for EST or PST?

Congratulations on all your traffic! You are a very good writer.

I'm your biggest fan, but it wasn't me.

I don't think it was me. But hooray for you!

AC- So you're saying there's nothing I can do?

Liz, thanks so much! I'm pretty sure those are Pacific times

Mel- kiss, kiss

Suzanne- Thanks! It's a nice bonus Christmas gift!

Alas, it wasn't me either. But, congratulations on your milestone and keep on writing my friend!

It wasn't me either. I haven't been here in days. Yes yes, I've been experiencing extreme Gina-withdrawals. It has not been pretty.

Perhaps I'll luck out and be your number 100,000 visitor some day!

eb- Bravenet will give you a point of entry only if there has been a referring website. If the address was typed in directly, it only registers as a "direct hit."

And, if I move over to another counter, I will lose my numbers! I can't stand the thought of having to sit here and hit my site ten thousand times in order to properly reflect my popularity. Don't want anybody thinking I'm some kind of loser.

Psst... Gina. Sitemeter allows one to set their starting counter to any number they want. You'd lose nothing by switching!
Gina said…
Sitemeter, here I come!

Oh, and uh, I won't be tempted at all to inflate the numbers or anything.

But just imagine, I could be a rockstar like Suzanne or Mel, with no effort whatsoever!

Ugh, Santa's watching, though, isn't he?

Really? I'm a rock star? WHERE ARE MY PERKS!?

I use statcounter, btw.
