Nothing Like the Smell of Huh? In the Morning

So last Sunday, I had company coming. Our carpets have been needing a good cleaning for a while now, and I was thinking they were smelling less than fresh. When Mr. Personality woke me up that morning at about 6am, in my blurry state of mind, right then was a good time to spray some Febreze on all the chairs, sofas, and carpet. I figured the stuff took a while to dry and could be a bit overwhelming, and as they were arriving at 930am, I figured I would give it lots of time to dry and dissipate.

For some odd reason, I didn't feel the need to turn on the lights when I began this little operation. It was quite dark, but I just opened up the closet, grabbed the white bottle, and commenced spraying.

Perhaps it was lack of sleep, I am not sure. But as I sprayed, a tiny thought sparked in my still half-asleep brain that this stuff was coming out much thicker than how I remembered Febreze being. Undeterred by this, I kept it coming. I sprayed the area rug in the living room, the couch, and the chairs. At one point I even looked at the nozzle, thinking it was a bit stuck.

It didn't hit me until I had thoroughly soaked every available fabric-covered surface that this stuff didn't really smell like Febreze. It was probably the overpowering scent that finally woke my brain up enough to actually look at the bottle I was holding in my hand.

I had just sprayed Lysol Basin, Tub and Tile Cleaner onto everything.

Needless to say, we rented a steam cleaner just two days after.

How funny! Because once, I attempted to clean my bathroom shower stall with Febreeze! (It didn't work and I wasted a whole bottle of Febreeze.)

I laughed out loud at this! I'm sure it wasn't nearly as amusing on your end, but thanks for the laugh over here. :)

Oh Gina! Hilarious! Though I'm sure not quite as funny to you.

Least it made for great blog material!
